Good evening, friends!

My first night back in front of the green screen may come with a touch of some sneaky snow overnight! Here is what I am watching and a brief overview of what I will discuss coming up at 6 PM!

See you soon! It is great to be back!
- Meteorologist Conner Prince

My very first weather post after medical leave, and it deals with my favorite weather: SNOW!

Definitely nothing major- but it is an interesting one. There has been an observational trend noted of a more pronounced surface-level trough indentation within the atmospheric pattern aloft (the dashed black lines over Illinois and Missouri). This feature may actually sharpen and become more defined over the next several hours.

Why is that important? With colder air returning aloft with sufficient moisture aloft, this narrow zone of enhanced forcing may provide a brief period of heavy snow showers after midnight. Should my thinking verify, someone may very well pick up a rapid light accumulation of snow and see reduced visibilities/gusty winds. At this point, between 12 AM and 4 AM is the most likely time period to observe this.

Again, NOT major... but it is those sneaky little features resulting in very minor travel impacts that catch people off guard.

I'll provide an update on Your Hometown Stations - Lima Ohio during the 6 PM news!

See you soon! I am BEYOND excited!
- Conner
