I love to thrift and go junking and even find a curbside treasure. I get so excited to bring new life into pieces that people think are worthless. Painting and restoring helps me destress from the craziness of life. There are many people who love to save good junk like I do and I love to share what I find and what I know with them. Everyone who helps me save the treasures and make them pretty again I call my Junk Army. What a strong group of amazingly creative people. This passion has grown into a small business and allowed me to retire from teaching and do this full-time. I love to wake up each day and do what I love. I also love to get to spend extra time with my daughter. I use DIY Paint, Sweet Pickins Milk Paint, and JRV products and more to make everything pretty again. I sell all of my furniture, home decor, salvage, antiques and more in my booth at Plaza Antiques & Collectibles Mall, 2621 Dix Highway in Lincoln Park, MI. My goal is to help to teach others to see the value in "junk", join my Junk Army & get out there to salvage, repurpose & create.
