It all began with “Can we talk?” moment with Scotty who was sitting in the living room of our beautiful home. A deep desire for travel had always lingered within us since the day we got married. SO, after covid almost killed our photography business, especially our food and hospitality work, we knew w
e needed to pivot. To reinvent ourselves. We’re Scott and Donna and we took the plunge, selling everything. Yes, everything. Now, after a full year of dwelling in our new home on wheels, we are just beginning to taste the sweetness of living out our lifelong dream. The path ahead was strewn with challenges, selling the house and all our stuff was just the start. We blew up our lives. We bade a sad goodbye to a business we had meticulously crafted over decades! And said a farewell to cherished friends. All who stood by us through thick and thin. It was profoundly challenging. The trials and tribulations of life on the road have been undeniably real. Getting Vanny stuck in a river bed where we had no cell service. To Donna falling off a tall rock at City of Rocks in New Mexico and injuring her right leg. Along the way, we have taken photos of everything. We are creating new art projects and portfolios. We are beating back that big empty hole in our hearts that was feeling overwhelming and desperate. We are feeling alive again. We are feeling strong. We most of all, are feeling creative.
