2:11-18
When Nehemiah received the burden from God about repairing the walls of Jerusalem, he didn't run out impulsively and begin trying to fix everything.

Nehemiah did his homework first; secretly, at night, he surveyed the damaged and gathered information.

Also Nehemiah did not talk with everyone about what God had put in his heart.As a wise leader, Nehemiah kept quiet and didn't discuss his ideas until he had collected all the facts,considered the cost, and had prayed about the matter.

Defeating the Enemies of Spiritual Advancement / Part 1
Neh.1:11
Wisdom tells us that the Lord is the source of any spiritual advancement. It also tells us that no such progress will go unopposed, but will incur spiritual opposition, sometimes expressed through people.
Therefore, as we advance spiritually- which, of course,we all should be doing- we must act with discernment.
If we are wise disciples, we will discern the true origin of many verbal attacks as an assault motivated by our spiritual adversary.

It is here we often see the truth of Eph. 6:12, which tells us that "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

" Through wise discernment we can recognize the attack of the Enemy as he uses people to upset or anger or discourage us. Keeping in mind that the person is not our enemy will help us stay on track in our spiritual growth.

HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE PROGRAM / Compassion On The Poor

Psalm 12:5

God cares about the poor, the homeless, the orphan, people who are hungry and who are needy. God cares about the oppression of the poor. "

However, God's people are His hands extended to minister to the poor. When believers minister the gospel of Jesus Christ, they are to have God's heart toward the poor, the homeless, and the downtrodden.

Jesus Christ warned us to minister to the needs of other believers (Matt. 25:35-40). When we feed the hungry, cloth the naked, visit the sick, and go to fellow Christians in prison, we are doing it to Him.
