It's been almost a year since we started our journey to learn to produce a short film. I thought it was time to post for all to see. Our first attempt. And yes, we continue from here. After learning a bit, from the film festivals, and having such a great team and support, we will attempt our scripting skills to provide producers a script for a miniseries, the book and the proof of concept. And yes, we have absolutely no idea what we are doing. ha. And how fun is that.

Our first step towards a feature film was to create a short film.  Our short film shot in October 2022, as we experienced the amazing colors in Northwest Arkansas to showcase the film.

Endangered is getting some press. Thanks to NWA Democrat Gazette.

It must have been a strange courtship for Sheila Webb Pierson and Jim Burroughs. They spent at least part of it writing a novel about a skull Burroughs found in a cave in the Ozarks.

Author, Executive Co Producer, Screen Play Writer, Learner. I hope everyone enjoys our story. I have enjoyed writing Endangered in the Ozarks, the novel. And now, I get to enjoy learning to produce a short film. The team has organically gathered and couldn’t be more supportive and creative. I feed off of their knowledge and get’er done spirit. I will forever be grateful to all.

I want to thank and appreciate this man who tackled making a short film because, one night we said, why not.
Jim is a streams biologist, chef, all around motivator and supporter, organizer extraordinaire.

I wish I could write the words better. But simply, this film would never have been started or completed without his vision and encouragement. Thank you and love you!

We want to welcome our director: Tor Skogen
Tor spent the majority of his childhood on the Gulf of Mexico in Sarasota, FL before relocating with his family to Northwest Arkansas in 2013. At 16, he found his passion for photography and entered his work in several local competitions. Shortly after this, in an effort to improve his skills and master the art of capturing the perfect shot, Tor began his career at What My Eyes Have Seen Studio. It didn’t take long for him to start dabbling in film. This curiosity led him to study at John Brown University for the 2018 school year, where he grew to appreciate the subtle nature of film and photography. Today, Tor is still at What my Eyes Have Seen where he heads the wedding film department and works in commercial video.

We are excited to announce that Brendan Wolfe will be joining our cast as Tristan in our upcoming short film, Endangered in the Ozarks.

Congratulations! We are looking forward to working with you.
Tristan is our “local” favorite kid. He is full of life, energy, sarcasm and lives in the moment.

Now a little bit about Brendan.
"Brendan Wolf is a senior undergraduate at the University of Arkansas and has been working in Northwest Arkansas theater for 13 years. This is his first film, but theater credits include Benvolio in Romeo & Juliet (dir. Taylor Dolan), Longaville in Love's Labour's Lost (dir. Paul Mason Barnes), Jonas in The Giver (dir. Jason Suel), and Romeo in Romeo & Juliet (dir. Kris Stoker). Upcoming credits include Allegedly in Love: A New Play (dir. Madelyn Marks) and Hedda Gabler (dir. Lacy Post).

Brendan is passionate about music and plays guitar with the local band Amato. He loves reading, exploring nature, and spending time with his girlfriend's cat, Otter. He'd like to thank Callie Lythgoe, Sarah McKenzie, Leah Christenson, Mark Landon Smith, his parents, and many other friends and family members for all their support and encouragement."

We are excited to announce that Rusty Turner will be joining our cast as Graham Barnes in our upcoming short film, Endangered in the Ozarks.

Congratulations! We are looking forward to working with you.

Graham is the Director of the GAO who has a secret past and corrupt ridden future.
Now a little bit about Rusty.

Rusty Turner is stage actor and singer from Rogers who, in real life, is a working journalist. Though active in theatre in high school, he took a long break from the stage to establish his journalism career and raise a family with is lovely and accomplished wife of almost 40 years, Anita. His local stage credits include Pontius Pilate in "Jesus Christ Superstar,” Joseph Pulitzer in “Newsies" and Nostradamus in "Something Rotten," all at Arkansas Public Theatre. He also played Bill in an APT production of Lucas Hnath’s award-winning play, “Hillary and Clinton.” Yes, it;’s THAT Bill. For the last 16 years, he’s been a performer, writer and director of the annual NWA Gridiron Show, a spoof of local and national politics presented by the Northwest Arkansas chapter of the Society for Professional Journalists. He and Anita have two grown sons, two fantastic daughters-in-law and two fabulous grandchildren.
