This thing we’ve created is so powerful. Being able to help people tell their stories while helping other people try new food has been incredibly purposeful. Thank you to everyone who shows up and supports our mission.

 All we need is support from the community to keep us going. I’ve been funding this out of my own pockets, because I feel that Lincoln should have events and opportunities like this to connect deeper with one another.

Huge shoutout to Linpepco for providing soft drinks to all of our events this year💙 and another shoutout to ChefauChef for providing food to fill in the gaps of the buffet. Your support is highly appreciated!

Are you a die hard foodie? Tomorrow, we are back with another Here For the Story Experience. We will be sitting down with William Llanos from The Golden Chickens and Amrita Mahapatra from Bijis Best to learn more about their cultures and inspirations behind the food.

This event features two live chats, a bar, and a buffet at Of the Earth Florals The restaurants are bringing their top sellers including Pollo à la brasa (rotisserie chicken) and yellow lentil soup… my personal favorite thing is Biji’s mango ice cream!🔥 we have desserts by Lil D’s Brownies and table side service from Bradley Bonbons🍽️

William Llanos is an avid runner and native Peruvian who brought the flavors of his culture to Lincoln this last December. Since then, I’ve been a consistent regular. This is easily in my top 2 restaurants right now.

Amrita is the founder of Biji’s Best - a food spot that operates out of her sons’ gas station. She brings authentic Indian cuisine to Lincoln with a twist. Her late husband was THE Dr. Mahapatra who helped found the Nebraska Heart Institute. The recipes she serves reflect a heart healthy diet.
