The Man. The Myth. The Legend that is UNL Rodeo, Head Coach Wyatt Clark 🔥

A Wellfleet, NE native and third-generation Nebraska cowboy, Wyatt has lived and breathed rodeo his whole life. From tie-down roping to saddle bronc riding, he’s competed in just about everything the sport has to offer. And since stepping into the role of UNL Rodeo Coach in September 2023, he’s been leading our program with grit, passion, and a vision for the future.

Wyatt’s not only a PRCA cowboy since 2009, but also a teacher, mentor, and role model who knows what it takes to succeed in the arena and beyond. Whether he’s roping, coaching, or serving as a rodeo judge, his commitment to the sport and to the students who represent UNL is unmatched.

We’re proud to have him guiding our team into a new era of Husker Rodeo. Go Big Red!

As the dust settles on another incredible season, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has truly been a year of growth and grit for the UNL Rodeo Team.

This year, we didn’t just compete—we built. We grew from 8 members to 15, a powerful reminder that the heart of rodeo beats strongest in community. We cheered each other on through long drives and tough draws. We learned to win together, lose together, and always ride for something bigger than ourselves. And, we had the privilege of watching some incredible talent shine through.

At the home college rodeo, three of our breakaway ropers rose to the top, Savannah Jensen, Bradie Crouse, and Jaya Nelson. We’re so proud of how you represented UNL Rodeo in and out of the arena.

And none of this would’ve been possible without the incredible support from our sponsors. Your belief in this team gave us the fuel to chase our goals and represent UNL with pride. Thank you for being part of this journey.

This year was about more than results. It was about building something. A program. A culture. A future. We’re walking away from this season not just with more buckles or better times—but with the unshakable belief that we’re onto something special. And we're just getting started.
