Talk about overdue…

This vacation was long overdue and deeply needed. I took time to rest, reflect, and recharge — true self-care in every sense. Thank you for your patience as I ease back into the salon flow. I’m feeling renewed and ready for what’s ahead.

Over the past few months, I also took a leap. I joined a local business organization — a room full of leaders and entrepreneurs. It was totally outside of my comfort zone, but absolutely what I needed. We’re all so different, but deeply aligned in purpose: service, community, and growth.
In almost 30 years as an independent stylist, and 7 years as the owner of Zen Salon & Studio, I’ve never felt the kind of support that comes from being in a network like this. Thank you to Elite Referral Network Nebraska and a special shout out to The Game Changers for your support. You’ve reminded me that “I got this!”

And now, my ask (and maybe a little manifestation) for the rest of 2025…
If you know someone in the beauty industry who’s looking for a place to grow — a stylist, barber, esthetician, or nail tech — send them my way. Zen is an open-concept space rooted in community and self care. I think I’m pretty cool… and I’ve built a culture that reflects some solid values, too. 😉
