Earlier this week, recent Lincoln High School graduate, Seth Walker, delivered a powerful keynote address to hundreds of educational leaders from across the country at the League Policy to Action Summit in Washington, DC. Speaking on the importance of Research and Development, Seth highlighted how access to high-quality pathways—like Cybersecurity—can transform a student’s future.
Seth also traveled to Capitol Hill, where he met with policymakers to advocate for increased Research and Development funding so that innovative programs like these can continue to grow and reach more students.
During his keynote, Seth shared a message that resonated with everyone in the room: “Access opens the door, but belief allows you to walk through it.” His words remind us that student voice and choice matter, and when we listen to our students and invest in their opportunities, they step forward with confidence and purpose.
Seth is currently attending Troy University, majoring in Cybersecurity. We could not be prouder of Seth and the leadership he continues to demonstrate beyond graduation. To learn more about Talladega County Schools Cybersecurity Pathway, read the article linked in the comment section.
