A municipal consulting firm has released a proposal to reimagine Perry County parks and athletic fields.

ALERT - Emergency crews are responding to a call on Highway 412 East, not far from the Lewis County line. The road is reportedly blocked in the area. Plan on delays. Traffic is being detoured due to this accident.

Public Announcement

Operations continue at the AES explosion site with local, state and federal agencies working to render additional explosive materials safe. Small controlled explosions and fires may be heard and visible in the area around AES. The public is asked to avoid the area but roads remain open. Extraordinary precautions are in place to prevent further damage and injuries. The community around the area is safe hut you may hear noise and see some smoke. Thank you for your cooperation.

“This is a methodical investigation that will take time’

During an evening update, authorities say they have amassed a team of Federal resources and investigators to get to the bottom of what caused the explosion at Accurate Energtic. So far, the missing and presumed perished stands at 16, down from the 19 initially thought. No cause has been determined and ‘every possibility’ is being explored, according to officials. Please continue to keep the victims and families in your prayers.
