We're excited to release the documentary, Cultural Shift: Redefining Mental Health in Black Lives, on The OnPoint Network TV.
Mental health is often a silent battle, especially in the Black community. Cultural Shift: Redefining Mental Health in Black Lives brings to light the deeply personal stories of Mary Jones, Pamela Short, and Monique White—three individuals who have navigated loss, resilience, and recovery. Their courage in sharing their experiences helps break the stigma surrounding mental health. We are also honored to have Dr. Tandrea Elmore whom provide her expert insight into the unique mental health struggles within the African American community. Additionally, Durrell McKinnon, Robert Watts, Octavious Palmer, and Timothy Bibb open up about their own mental health journeys as Black men, shedding light on the stereotypes and challenges they face. Through these powerful narratives, we hope to spark change, encourage open conversations, and redefine what mental health means in Black lives.
Thank you to Amanda B. Granger for working with us on the necessary project. We hope this brings change in Black lives.
