Today, Governor Kim Reynolds signed SF 2219 into law, ensuring students can participate in school-sponsored activities like FFA without being penalized for absences. A big win for the next generation of agricultural leaders in Iowa!

This ICA-backed legislation supports experiential learning opportunities that help shape future leaders in agriculture through hands-on education, leadership development, and career exploration.

Thank you to Governor Reynolds and the legislators who helped get this bill across the finish line and continue supporting the future of Iowa agriculture!

There’s something special about raising kids in the livestock industry and on the farm. It teaches them responsibility, work ethic, humility, patience, and confidence in ways the world simply can’t replicate. Early mornings, late nights, wins, losses, hard work, and dedication all become part of who they are.

We’ve watched Colton & Claire grow not only as showmen and cattlemen, but as strong, respectful, driven young people. The friendships, lessons, and memories built along the way are something they’ll carry for life.

As we reflect on how far Christensen Cattle Company has come, we’re incredibly thankful. What started as a passion has grown into something much bigger than cattle it’s become a way of life for our family. We are grateful for every customer, friend, supporter, and junior who has been part of the journey.

The livestock industry builds more than great cattle… it builds great people. And we wouldn’t trade this life for anything. ❤️
