Ashley said the plants on the hilltop entranced them. They also found a family of horned lizards, also called h***y toads, for bodies much broader than a typical lizard.

Michael Knutson will again be artist in residence at the Red Barn Studio Museum, June 14-21. He is a multimedia artist and community college teacher in Garden City. Knutson was also an artist in residence in 2023 and 2024. The Red Barn is at 212 S. Main.
