Nutt fund, this month gave the following grants for Lindsborg: $9,500 to the business group Lindsborg at Work for a new downtown sound system, $3,220 for climbing wall mats at the elementary school, and $2,500 to Bethany College for Messiah festival soloists.

Finance Director David Hay estimated that Lindsborg will see $239,027 in sales tax revenue this year that has yet to be allocated. The City Council on Monday night approved his recommendation to put $100,000 of that in the capital improvement fund instead of the $50,000 originally budgeted, so the city can pay for maintenance that was deferred to avoid raising property taxes next year.
