Good Saturday morning everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with a quick update on the Tropics!! Things are heating up in the Atlantic basin!

We have a Monster of a Hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean and is East Northeast of Puerto Rico, and moving West Northwest Hurricane Erin has Exploded and rapidly intensified into a Strong Category 4 storm with sustained winds of 155MPH only 2MPH away from a Category 5 Hurricane!!!

Thankfully all of the models are taking this storm between the US and Bermuda Between Wednesday and Thursday but there will still be large waves and rip currents along the East Coast of the US!

This storm will no doubt in my mind will become the first Category 5 Hurricane in a long time just be thankful if the track continues the direction that it’s on at the moment it will not impact our region nor the East Coast of the US.

Good Tuesday morning everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with your local forecast!

Today we will have partly cloudy skies with a 60% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 12pm with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s.

Tonight we will have partly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 9pm with lows forecasted to be in the lower 60’s.

Wednesday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 60% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1pm with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Thursday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1pm with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Friday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs forecasted to be in the mid 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Saturday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 2pm with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Sunday we will have mostly sunny skies with highs forecasted to be in the low to mid 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Monday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

To all of the farmers who live in the forecast region the next couple of days are looking wet at times for parts of the forecast region for getting farm work done!

Good Monday night everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with a quick update on the tropics!

As the Peak of Hurricane Season just a short few weeks away we have to start talking about the Tropics and yes we officially have Tropical Storm Erin way out in the Eastern Atlantic but eventually, this storm will be north of Puerto Rico by Sunday

I’m watching it closely because the models are hinting at some things but it’s way to SOON to talk about potential impacts for the US keep it in the back of your minds as we approach the upcoming weekend we will have a Tropical System in the Atlantic.

And to be honest by the weekend it is very likely that we will have a Major Hurricane at that stay tuned for the most up to date forecast here at Andrew’s Weather!!

After a week or so of below average temperatures and feeling like fall we will be warming up for the next week and will eventually get above average temperatures the first full weekend of the State Fair Of West Virginia looks amazing with no rain in sight!

Today we will have mostly sunny skies with highs forecasted to be in the upper 70’s to the lower 80’s.

Tonight we will have mostly clear skies with lows forecasted to be in the upper 50’s to near 60, with patchy fog possible after midnight.

Sunday we will have mostly sunny skies with highs forecasted to be in the lower 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the upper 50’s to the lower 60’s.

Monday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 20% chance of a few showers and thunderstorms with highs forecasted to be in the lower 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the lower 60’s.

Tuesday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms with highs forecasted to be in the low to mid 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the lower 60’s.

Wednesday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms with highs forecasted to be in the low to mid 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Good Tuesday morning everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with your local forecast!

First of all we have a wind advisory until 3pm this evening for sustained winds between 15-25mph with gusts between 40-50mph especially this morning for the counties in West Virginia Mercer, Summers, Greenbrier and Monroe, for the counties in Virginia Giles, Bland, Craig, allegheny, Wythe, Pulaski, Montgomery, and Roanoke.

Today we will have partly cloudy skies with breezy conditions with highs forecasted to be in the mid to upper 40’s

Tonight we will have mostly clear skies with the winds subsiding with low’s forecasted to be in the upper 20’s to the lower 30’s for most everyone.

Wednesday we will have partly cloudy skies with highs forecasted to be in the upper 40’s to the lower 50’s, low’s are forecasted to be in the upper 20’s for most everyone.

Thursday we will have increasing clouds late in the day with highs forecasted to be in the upper 40’s to the lower 50’s, low’s are forecasted to be in the upper 30’s to the lower 40’s with rain moving in mainly after 7pm chance of rain is 70%.

Friday we will have cloudy skies with rain showers off and on throughout the day chance of rain is 90%, with highs forecasted to be in the upper 40’s to the lower 50’s, low’s are forecasted to be in the upper 30’s to near 40.

Saturday we will have mostly cloudy skies in the morning becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon hours with scattered rain showers in the morning hours a few scattered rain showers will still be possible in the afternoon hours chance of rain is 30% with highs forecasted to be in the 40’s. low’s are forecasted to be in the low to mid 30’s.

Sunday we will have partly cloudy skies will breezy conditions moving in throughout the day with sustained winds between 15-25mph with wind gusts between 30-35mph, with highs forecasted to be in the upper 40’s to the lower 50’s. Low’s are forecasted to be in the upper 20’s to the lower 30’s.

Good Monday evening everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with a quick update on our big weather change you don’t want to miss this one!

I’ve been watching models the past several days and when I say that I’m getting excited about our upcoming weather pattern I truly am! Now if you are a snow lover this is for you.

I will say the next 2 weeks starting New Year’s Day we will be going into a colder period and this will give us the opportunity for multiple chances for snow and the possibility of snowstorms yes meaning more than 1 snowstorm is a possibility as of right now with the first one Sunday into Monday could start as snow then change to ice, then eventually rain in places then after that storm the real cold comes.

Our next winter weather event looks to be between January 7th-11th this will change but keep it in the back of your mind that it is possible now one thing is for certain is the very cold arctic airmass that will be moving into our region starting next Tuesday and lasting all of next week into the following week.

Now how cold am I talking about this will be a dangerous cold weather event with highs looking likely to be in the teens and twenties with lows potentially getting into the single digits to near zero with windchill’s getting as low as -15 to -20 below zero!!!
