Good Saturday morning everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with your local forecast!

After a rainy Friday afternoon and temps dropped overnight this weekend is looking a lot cooler and breezy this will be short lived because early to mid week temperatures will go above normal with rain chances increasing as well then another cooldown coming by late next week!!

Today we will have mostly cloudy skies this morning becoming mostly sunny by the afternoon with highs forecasted to be in the upper 40’s.

Tonight we will have mostly clear skies with lows forecasted to be in the upper 20’s to the lower 30’s.

Sunday we will have mostly sunny skies with highs forecasted to be in the 50’s with lows forecasted to be in the mid to upper 30’s.

Monday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 20% chance of showers with highs forecasted to be in the upper 60’s with lows forecasted to be in the low to mid 40’s.

Tuesday we will have partly cloudy skies with highs forecasted to be in the 70’s a few places might hit 80! with lows forecasted to be in the 50’s.

Wednesday we will have mostly cloudy skies with a 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs forecasted to be in the 70’s with lows forecasted to be in the 50’s.

Thursday we will have mostly cloudy skies with a 70% chance of showers with highs forecasted to be in the low to mid 60’s with lows forecasted to be in the lower 50’s.

Friday we will have mostly cloudy skies with a 70% chance of showers with highs forecasted to be in the 50’s with lows forecasted to be in the upper 40’s.

To all of the farmers who live in the forecast region the next couple of days are looking good for getting farm work done! It will be cool and breezy but a big warm up is expected early to mid week next week.

Good Saturday evening this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with a quick update!

The snow has officially started across the entire forecast region! How’s everyone doing what is everyone seeing at the moment?

Snow will continue and will get heavier the next several hours several inches of snow will be possible especially along and north of Highway 460. 3-6 inches is a pretty good bet for areas along and north of Highway 460 with lesser amounts to the south.

The biggest concern will be the sleet/freezing rain that switchover will happen overnight into our Sunday morning with most areas seeing .25 to as much as .50 tenths of an inch of ice on top of our snowfall power outages and trees down are likely especially the areas that see over a 1/4 quarter of an inch. Good Wednesday afternoon everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with a special update!!

Just as I expected, winter storm watches have been issued for the entire forecast region starting from Saturday afternoon going through Monday morning as of right now snowfall totals are expected to be between 8 and 14 inches with localized higher amounts this will be a major winter storm for our region.

You need to prepare now today through Friday is your best timeframe to go to the grocery store and the gas stations to be prepared we could see some power outages with the system and travel will be very difficult Sunday into Monday.

I will be doing a Facebook live tonight between 8:00 and 8:30 PM share this to your friends and family and make sure you come enjoy the live stream tonight. You don’t wanna miss it. I’ll have all the details and the answer as many questions as I can tonight during the live stream!

I’m in full Winter Storm mode everyone this storm has the potential to be one of the biggest snowstorms in several years for our entire region!! You guys need to start preparing now! I’m going to do lives this week stay tuned! It’s a real possibility of seeing 6+ snowfall for the entire forecast region!!

Good Monday afternoon everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with a special update!!

I’ll be watching this very closely throughout the week but chances of a Major Winter Storm for our entire forecast region is increasing a 50-70% chance of a Winter Storm this is looking real interesting for West Virginia and Virginia!!!

I will definitely be watching and keeping everyone posted throughout the week as more models and information comes in but all I can say is stay tuned and be prepared for a Potential Winter Storm this upcoming weekend!!

Good Saturday morning everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with a quick update on the Tropics!! Things are heating up in the Atlantic basin!

We have a Monster of a Hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean and is East Northeast of Puerto Rico, and moving West Northwest Hurricane Erin has Exploded and rapidly intensified into a Strong Category 4 storm with sustained winds of 155MPH only 2MPH away from a Category 5 Hurricane!!!

Thankfully all of the models are taking this storm between the US and Bermuda Between Wednesday and Thursday but there will still be large waves and rip currents along the East Coast of the US!

This storm will no doubt in my mind will become the first Category 5 Hurricane in a long time just be thankful if the track continues the direction that it’s on at the moment it will not impact our region nor the East Coast of the US.

Good Tuesday morning everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with your local forecast!

Today we will have partly cloudy skies with a 60% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 12pm with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s.

Tonight we will have partly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 9pm with lows forecasted to be in the lower 60’s.

Wednesday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 60% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1pm with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Thursday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1pm with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Friday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs forecasted to be in the mid 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Saturday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 2pm with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Sunday we will have mostly sunny skies with highs forecasted to be in the low to mid 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

Monday we will have partly cloudy skies with a 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms with highs forecasted to be in the 80’s with lows forecasted to be in the 60’s.

To all of the farmers who live in the forecast region the next couple of days are looking wet at times for parts of the forecast region for getting farm work done!

Good Monday night everyone this is Andrew Graham The Weather Man with a quick update on the tropics!

As the Peak of Hurricane Season just a short few weeks away we have to start talking about the Tropics and yes we officially have Tropical Storm Erin way out in the Eastern Atlantic but  eventually, this storm will be north of Puerto Rico by Sunday

I’m watching it closely because the models are hinting at some things but it’s way to SOON to talk about potential impacts for the US keep it in the back of your minds as we approach the upcoming weekend we will have a Tropical System in the Atlantic.

And to be honest by the weekend it is very likely that we will have a Major Hurricane at that stay tuned for the most up to date forecast here at Andrew’s Weather!!
