After the unofficial results have been tallied, the Chisago Lakes School District referendum has failed.

There were 2,385 votes for ‘No’ and 1,874 votes for ‘Yes’.

Chisago Lakes senior heavyweight Logan Bender defended his Class AA crown with a 5-1 win over Austin’s Sam Winkels in the state championship match.

Bender survived an early head-to-head collision that left him wobbly and got the match deciding takedown with less than 20 seconds left to go.

Congratulations to Logan, the first two time state heavyweight champion in Chisago Lakes’ history.
