The Community News has been published in hard copy edition both on Monday, January 20, 2025 - sent Jan. 17, and Monday, February 10, 2025 - sent Feb. 7. All have been sent to subscribers, placed in several local stores for purchase and online. Many local stories have been reported on and photos included. Next hard copy edition is set for Monday, Feb. 24, to be placed in the mail Feb. 21.

The Monday, December 23, 2025, edition of Community News has been published, mailed to subscribers, and is a available for purchase at several area stores.
Main story is school board limiting possible tax increase to the state index figure of 2.8 mills, meaning the school district could increase tax mills only to that level unless approval would be sought from voters for more. Hopes are to have no increase in taxes in the upcoming year that begins July 1.
Second main story is that bids have been awarded for the repair/re-opening of Rocky Glen Road in West Fallowfield Township. The road has been closed for close to 5 years with the Phase 3 repair/update to begin when the weather breaks and should be done by July 4. Bids came in under projected budget.

The Monday, December 9, 2024, edition of Community News has been published and mailed to subscribers and is available at several local stores for purchase.
Main story is re-election of Conneaut school board president Dot Luckock and vice president GW Hall for the upcoming year.
Meetings dates were also set with work sessions and voting meetings now starting at 6:30 p.m., not 7 p.m., with two exceptions, the one January meeting on the 8th which begins at 6 p.m., and likewise the one July 9 meeting at 6 p.m..
Other stories include Summit Township supervisors and repre-sentatives from the library board on what could happen with the Library if the former school property is sold at an upcoming auction on December 21; Lake Regional Police add 5th full-time officer from 4-1/2; East Fallowfield Township no new taxes for the 2025 year; Lake Historical Society hears speaker on how the lake formed; Linesville Borough council meeting ; Conneautville notes storm water project done;
North/South Shenango Crime Watch hears from DCNR Ranger reporting on 191 incidents this season; Conneaut Township keeps tax rates the same for 2025 budget; and 75th anniversary of raising Christmas Trees in Norrisville by same family.
Note next edition of Community News is December 23, with deadline for events, advertising from then until middle of January December 18.

The Monday, November 25, 2024, edition of Community News has been published, mailed to subscribers, and is availalbe for sale on several local locations.
The hiring of a new school superintendent is the main story as current schools superintendent is retiring June 30, 2025. Conneaut Lake Borough secretary resigns position as is North Shenango Township secretary. Lake secretary is being hired at North Shenango while NS secretary will be accepting a township position elsewhere. Fall sports banquets at CASH are noted and various trophy winners listed. See photos of boy's soccer winners.

Main story is Conneaut School Board ready to name new schools superintendent as current leader is retiring effective June 30, 2025. Story also includes a planned change in vo-ag classes to begin next year in that classes will become more centered on individual matters helping to lead students to creating career objectives.
A number of area advertisers salute the military veterans, past and present, for their service. Support local businesses! Pomona Grange recognizes area veterans with quilt awards.
