Another day, another camera rig... shooting The Economist's War on Cancer event. Definitely some interesting things in today's show, including this guy (who's name I, in my infinite wisdom, have completely forgotten at the moment) who's research seems to have found a way to tailor treatments to patients based on their genome that has shown some amazing results in trials so far (like, throwing around the words "cure" and "cancer" in the same sentence amazing).

Busy day in southeastern MA today! About to shoot a POW/MIA remembrance ceremony in foxboro. The rest of the day has involved mansfield's town celebration for the completion of their mural that's been a work in progress for the last three years, a Lions' club-run festival in south attleboro, and a couple of open houses at America's Best Defense martial arts and O'Leary's gymnastics. Not a bad way to spend a gorgeous fall saturday...

Wrapping up a couple weeks on site production at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals with Tim Haggerty and Dominique Earle-Coppola. Interesting company with a very unique approach to battle pancreatic cancer, a disease that's taken its toll on our family and friends more than a few times. Always like when the client is one whose effort you can support too :)

Today's office...well, one of them anyway. Shooting the (outgoing) CEO of the Interfaith Foundation, which aims to help mixed religion families. Definite run and gun day as we shot in 8-9 locations at their HQ (with partner-in-crime Tim Haggerty.)

Astronaut Mike Massimino is in the house! Shooting his presentation to the CVS senior leader meeting today. In addition to his work on the Hubble Space Telescope for NASA he was also the astronaut who was the commander of Howard wolowitz's space mission on The Big Bang Theory!

Evidently this week was reality TV week here at WSP... started off on a fun shoot with a mother and daughter team who were on the last season of Survivor, and wrapped up with some performances by an American Idol contestant and a girl who tried out for the Voice. What's next? Feel like I should look up the local couple that won the Amazing Race and see if they have anything to film...

Can't quite say the last 30 hours were the busiest we've even experienced, but they've held perhaps the greatest variety of shoots and causes... Starting off with a Cancer Relay for Life walk (in pouring rain), followed today with a Paws for a Cause event for a local animal shelter, doing a story on a local Abbey whose nuns have utilized a number of green energy initiatives (acres of solar panels and a wind tower) to power their candy-making endeavors, a Guinness World Record Co****le Championship at Gillette Stadium run by ex-Pat Matt Light, a huge active kids event at Reebok world HQ with Olympic Gold Medal gymnast Aly Raisman, an art gallery show open, and finally a benefit for a local third grader with Cystic Fibrosis. All in all, definitely living up to the old saying about variety being the spice of life this weekend! Looking forward to a quiet(er) father's day tomorrow, happy Dad's Day everyone!!
