All Arkansas Preps All Arkansas Preps What is All Arkansas Preps? The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s All Arkansas Preps and it’s awards banquet, sponsored by CHI St.

Vincent, celebrates high school athletes and their accomplishments on a state level in 12 different sports: Football, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, tennis, track, cross-country, wrestling, swimming and soccer (male and female categories). The teams are chosen either by overall tournaments (golf, tennis and track) or by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette sports department. The students will be

recognized throughout the year in stories and advertising in the newspaper. The finale will be the All Arkansas Preps Awards Banquet in June in Little Rock, which will feature a celebrity athlete who will speak at the event. First Security Bank, Arkansas Select Buick GMC, Dillard's, SportClips and New Balance are also sponsors of this event. Students chosen throughout the year will be invited to attend the dinner and receive a certificate for their accomplishments, and the Outstanding Player of the Year in each sport will be honored on stage at the event. Parents, coaches and the general public will also be invited to attend.

—As Mayor and a proud Little Rock Parkview Arts and Science High School alumnus, it was an honor to present Parkview Coach, and fellow Patriot, Jason Harrison with the All Arkansas Preps Basketball Coach of the Year Award last night. Thank you, Coach Harrison, for your leadership and for guiding this year’s Parkview boys basketball team to a State Championship.
