Local Spotlight: Tripwire

How did you come up with the name Tripwire?

The name came from when our front man was brainstorming and his mom randomly said tripwire and he was like “yeah that’s the one”😭

Who are your biggest influences?

We draw our influences from all over the place, our guitarist loves thrash and groove whereas our singer draws his influences primarily from nu and alt metal, in some unreleased demos including elements of trap/hyperpop. Our bassist loves funk and jazz music, and our drummer just listens to everything if I’m being totally honest, haha.

Who are some of your favorite locals to work with?

We love doing shows with render and aurora! Jack (our vocalist) personally loves to work with xaestar, and plans on bringing him in to feature on track(s) in the future
