We can’t wait to get our copy! Salutes to our next generation of media makers 🙌🏾❤️

Repost from

Last year the Executive Director of 📱BJ Woods hit my line and asked me to collaborate with her to produce a youth led newspaper. Yall know I'm down like 4 flats to work with our youth. After working with some amazing young folks and 10 great facilitators for months "OUR VOICES" transformed into a DOPE MAGAZINE!
S/O to BJ and the youth for the vision! The physical copies are finally here and we can't wait to distribute them. This 47 page magazine features articles, reviews, art, photography etc from young people around Arkansas. I can't wait to work on the next project. S/O to the as well, we're committed to youth engagement. Keep supporting The Village Place and special thanks to the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation for making it possible for us to share Our Voices!

✨✨Well, WE’VE GOT SOME EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE! ✨✨

TLDR: WE HAVE ONE MONTH TO FUNDRAISE FOR A SPACE! And we need your help to secure it.

As you know, we’ve been operating and selling our books as a pop-up since January of this year. And we’ve accomplished so much in the these short few months. We’ve attended on average 3-4 markets a month and it’s a been a lot of firsts — hosting our first pop-up, first book club, and celebrating Indie Bookstore Day for the first time this past weekend!

Recently, an opportunity became available to us and we are launching a permanent location for the bookstore inside another business by subleasing a space. The space is currently available and we need to secure it.

Because it’s a very quick turnaround, we are seeking your help to make our dream of having a storefront location for Más Libritos Bookstore into a reality!

We have 🚨ONE MONTH 🚨to meet our goal, and we need your support! Click the link in our bio to see the GoFundMe link. 🔗

You can support us by donating to our GoFundMe, sharing it to friends and family by texting the link, and sharing it on your social media! All of these things help us get the word out there.

If there is one thing Arkansans can always be counted on is to jump into action to help their neighbors. Seeing how different cities have come together to combine resources and volunteers has been a reminder of how we are stronger together.

We have put a list together of SOME of the many resources and groups providing assistance below and in the images. If you know of a group you want to highlight that is not mentioned, please comment them below.

Thank you to all the city leaders, volunteers and Arkansans that have been leading with heart. 💜
