In this video you may see a Christmas tree, but when I say “things take a while” for me to be able to post about it, I’m not kidding! I’ll be making more of these wire masks in the future but right now, I’m finishing up some creative reuse projects with a collection of baby doll heads and limbs 😂

I also am thinking of putting the outer mask (that opens and closes) over at Y’allternative! Since I do still have that piece but there’s nothing I can really do with it.

Would anyone local be interested in that one?

Stay tuned for new handmade items coming along!

Things that ~didn’t get their flowers:

I came across this on my insta and was like “woah! I’m so impressed w myself! I remember when I made this WHOLE LITTLE SCULPTURE OF THE GOING MERRY OUT OF TRASH” and I was super proud of how it turned out!

Then I saw it only got 6 likes.

SIX

The internet is funny that way, and I have to remind myself that likes or views really doesn’t mean squat when it comes to determining if it’s good or not. Because I know it is—I make things and I’m more critical than anyone I know! I KNOW when something I make can use more work and when something I do actually impresses me—and this impressed me, but it was never really acknowledged by the internet so then I kinda forgot about it.

So here she is again: the Going Merry from One Piece made out of paper, paper trash, and some jute twine!

In today’s episode of “things that I made that didn’t get their flowers” but I was stoked on: for last Christmas, I made a batch of these necklaces. They’re each a little pocket and range in sizes. Some can hold crystals, some (because requested) can hold a v**e. Some can hold foldable sewing scissors lol. They’re made with repurposed scrap fabric and even if no one wanted them, I love making them and I think they’re so pretty 😅

They’re at in Sherwood, on my Grunge Granny shelves!

A year later and yes I know that I posted pictures but this is abt the process!! Plus I had clips from working on this, finishing, and the end result that I needed to go through and edit but finally! Not only have I finished this intense rug, but I’ve finally finished editing the clips of it!

This was made using a combo of different methods: needle felting, crochet, latch hooking, pom pom making, and what I was calling “yarn embroidery,” tho it wasn’t really that.

I’m craving doing this again but with something smaller. I need to work on making some coasters now!

I’m always making stuff—I just don’t always document it. Or I do document it and I have waaaay too many videos to edit at this point. Rn I’m working a bug dude—you’ll see what he’s gonna be soon enough!

My toddler tried to stick a box on his head and was pi**ed when it didn’t fit. I asked him if he wanted me to make it a crown. He nodded. I did it and at the slightest struggle in putting it on, he got mad and threw it on the floor.

Oh well—now we have a cute lil cardboard crown.

I have Barbie arm earrings at yallternative, as well as Milagros and pocket necklaces!

I’m finally doing it—finally getting on here and posting!

First things first: remember that I have some cool and fun things over at in Sherwood!! I have smaller, simpler Milagros and a variety of options of pocket necklaces!! Both made creative reuse out of mixed materials!

✨Now that that’s outta the way: LOOK AT THIS!✨

I started this rug for my toddler last year and it’s finally finished!!! This isn’t even after sewing in all the edges and trimming it all up to be even—I am SO PROUD OF IT!!

It was inspired by knit and crochet activity mats/rugs, Freeform crochet coral reefs, and moss rugs (that got really popular in late 2024 but it took me this long to MAKE one).

I started it thinking it was going to be a perfect way to use up old skeins and make an interactive sensory experience. It turned into a whole *SS other thing lol. 🗓️

Methods used: latch hooking, crochet, felting, sewing. 🧶🧶

I have so much I’ve been making and need to share—and I have videos from LAST YEAR documenting this process since then but it’s gonna be a minute before I get to editing that. Forgive me, internet.

Just a few of the things I made since I last posted!

I’m obsessed with this little troll guy that I crocheted for my oldest kiddo—the pattern was super easy to follow and he worked up pretty quickly!

Next was making Bingo for my youngest and boy that was a lot of trial and error but it’s done!! Wonky but done.

And bc I didn’t have time to do an in person vision board, here’s mine for 2026 using Shuffles!

✨Scroll to see Gage being stunning and showing off the wire mask piece✨

Maybe it’s not holiday themed, or maybe it is?

I was asked by the gorgeous to make a mask for a show: they concept was “new year/new me,” shown visually, with a more eerie mask that opens to reveal something beautiful underneath. Gage shared pics of different masks and a stunning wire piece he found on Pinterest.

The outer mask still needs some work and am hoping I can get a soldering iron soon so that I can make better hinges for it, but visually—I love the result!

I added a forehead band across a purchased gold headband, and wrapped wire for what would later be both the hinges and attachment for the front piece.

The front mask was made of modeling foam (so that it stayed light enough to move with just wire).
I also drilled small holes into it to insert tiny magnets to keep it closed.

The mask underneath is where I got really excited: this piece is all wire, with it having to be measured in parts, partially marked while putting it on my own face, and wrapped with a number of different gauges and two different wire colors (gold and bronze).

I’m so in love with the end result that I’ve decided to offer them as commission pieces.

I also plan on making simplified versions for more casual accessory wear.

My pics do not do it justice but I wanted to have something showing it completed before handing it off to our local queen!

WHEW okay! For a more detailed list of what I’m showing you here:

1. 10 Paper gift tags—there are 4 different sizes for a total of 17 tags. I made them each their own little pocket, and I’ll be showing them off as soon as I can edit the video for them!
2. Barbie arm earrings!
3, 4, & 5. Henna ornaments in three different sizes
6. Modern Milagros: charms based off of traditional milagros designs but I added iconography and symbolism that I feel resonates strongly with me (and hopefully others!)
7. Pocket amulets: each of these pendants are pockets!

🖤SINCE THIS IS ALL HANDMADE, there will be differences between them. Little errors and spots that I keep because honestly, I think things look more charming that way. (Scroll back a few years and you’ll see where I was determined to make everything “perfectly”—I just don’t like that anymore.) 🖤

✂️ All tags were cut, stamped, and made by hand, as well as the pockets.
🪡All textile work is done by hand and is a project reuse project for for repurposed fabric scraps.
🧿The milagros are mostly on brass pins but there are a few silver
🌿The pocket pendants range in size, partially bc of a friend’s request to be able to carry her “pen” in it. They can hold a small pair of foldable sewing scissors, a tiny spell jar, a small amount of herbs, or anything else smallish you want to carry around! (Like a lighter, a small sharpie, maybe meds? The pocket is your oyster!)
👂The Barbie arm earrings are a part of creative reuse and don’t worry, I’ll be updating soon with where the rest of the dolls went!
