The latest rumors indicate that Alex Golesh, the current head coach at USF, has been hired and accepted the Arkansas position. He is 41 and currently has a 22-15 record.

The Razorbacks were blown out by Texas today, in Austin, 52-37. The Hogs gave up 393 yards through the air while Texas QB Arch Manning threw for 4 tds, caught one and ran one in. Arkansas managed 512 total yards but couldn’t find the endzone consistently. Arkansas put backup qb KJ Jackson in during the 4th quarter, down 52-23, and led them to 2 td drives to cap off the scoring for the day.

Arkansas is back home next Saturday for its final game of the season vs Missouri at 2:30 on the SEC Network.

Arkansas blows 14 point 4th quarter lead, loses 38-35.

Arkansas was up 35-21 after scoring a td with 13:43 left in the 4th quarter. Mississippi State scored the final 17 points after holding the Arkansas offense to 8 plays and -14 yards.

Arkansas also set a new school record for both penalties (18) and penalty yards (193 yards) while Mississippi State was only flagged 4 times for 30 yards. When asked, interim coach Bobby Petrino said, “You know I can’t say anything. I do want to say something but I can’t. That’s how they handcuff you. I’d just say watch the video.”

Mississippi State snapped a 16 game SEC losing streak. Their last victory was also at Arkansas in 2023, winning 7-3. Arkansas now has lost 7 straight SEC games and 5 straight this season after winning their first 2 games.

Arkansas now has a bye week before going to LSU on Nov 15.

HOGS LOSE TO AUBURN, 33-24

Arkansas closed out the 2nd half with 4 straight turnovers, including a pick 6. Taylen Green threw 3 interceptions. Auburn went on to win 33-24 after trailing 21-10 at the half. The Tigers outscored the Hogs 23-3 in the 2nd half. That was Auburn's first win in SEC play this season while Arkansas is still looking for its first.

Arkansas dropped to 2-6 (0-4 SEC). Next up is another home game vs Mississippi State next Saturday at 3pm on the SEC Network.

#4 Texas A&M came into Fayetteville and left with a 45-42 victory over the Hogs. Arkansas scored their final points, a touchdown, with 10 seconds left. They attempted an onside kick but A&M recovered it. Marcel Reed, qb for the Aggies, finished with 280 yards and 3 tds on 23 of 32 passing. He also added 55 yards and a td on the ground. Rueben Owens II rushed for 69 yards and 2 tds. For Arkansas, Taylen Green finished with 256 yards and 3 tds passing and 85 yards and 2 tds on the ground. Mike Washington Jr had 16 carriers for 147 yards. O'Mega Blake, CJ Brown and Jaden Platt each caught a td for the Hogs.

The Arkansas defense just could not make stops down the stretch. The only turnover was on downs when Arkansas went for it on 4th down in the 1st quarter. A&M held the ball for 33:48 and finished with 497 yards of offense. Arkansas did have 527 yards as well.

Arkansas hosts Auburn next Saturday at 11:45.
