The story of 🐂 "Life on the Rodeo Trail" 🐂
It was a little over a year ago when Arkansas Productions LLC received a long 😜 text from Arkansas rancher Don Ramsey of Ramsey Ranch about the possibility of shooting a documentary on a couple of young bull riders he sponsored, Alex Legg and Colton Johnson. At first I hesitated as I had just started my production company and didn't know if I would be the right fit for the project. After meeting Tommy Rand, the CEO of the Rand Rodeo Company and Arkansas Family Rodeo and learning about the rich history of his family and the rodeo tradition in Arkansas , the idea for Life on the Rodeo Trail was born. We decided to expand the documentary to cover the Rand Rodeo Circuit over the course of the 2025 season. It's a closer look at young rodeo competitors at the beginning of their journey to the pros. Over the course of the season, we shot over 15 rodeos along the way we feature the personalities and places you experience living "Life on the Rodeo Trail."
🎥 Episode one 🎥- We begin the journey on the rodeo trail in Calico Rock, a small town on the banks of the White River in Arkansas as preparations are underway for the annual Lions Club Rodeo, an event the Rand Family has produced since 1969. I hope you enjoy it!
