We toured Oregon State and U of O today. We loved being back in Eugene and seeing old stomping grounds and friends. Camille even spied a fun “train” from Amazon Park that I used to take the kids too.

Recital season! My students brought their A game today👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 not only did they perform fabulous pieces but they also made “cover art” to accompany their songs and gave memorable quotes about their love for music. “Quotable Artists” is my working title for this recital series. “My favorite thing about piano is staccatos” and”My favorite thing about piano is performing for Ms. Davina”-my faves.

Easter weekend. Outdoor services for Redeemer Golden Church-sunny today but snow storm and freezing on Good Friday! Kyle and I got to lead worship with my brother of drums, which is always a special treat. And the annual snow Easter bunny that may melt quicker than the kids can eat their Easter candy🤣 AND random running picture…the snow came earlier than expected on Good Friday and getting pelted in the eyeballs is not for the faint of heart!

About Davina

Welcome to my studio! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a musician, music educator, creative and innovator. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Colorado State University. While at university I poured myself into piano performance, studying under Dr. Janet Landreth. After completing my Music Therapy Internship in Albany, NY, where I worked with special needs children, I attended Covenant Theological Seminary. While at seminary I met my husband, Kyle, and also earned a Master of Divinity. My niche of music flourished while in St. Louis as I had the opportunity to organize, plan and lead chapel services weekly at the seminary. It was during this time that I began teaching piano and guitar lessons. From 2014-2017 I was the PreK-8th grade General Music Teacher at Denver Christian School in Lakewood, CO. While at DCS I had the opportunity to teach group piano, guitar and ukulele and found that students thrive in the group setting. Please visit my website, davinaperret.com, to learn more about my lesson schedule.

When I am not teaching music, I can be seen running in the neighborhood or on the Highline Canal, out to coffee with friends, attending MOPS and spending time with my family.
