More than a racing documentary — Thunder Mountain: The Last Pass captures the end of an era. A story of family, legacy, horsepower, and the community built around the strip. Loud engines, last runs, and memories that won’t fade.

We will forever cherish getting to see behind the curtains at Bandimere Speedway, and it’s only fair to share the joy with all of you.

John, thanks for the memories, your influence and dedication has shaped the sport into what it is today. All the best to you and your wonderful family.

“I really love NHRA but I am officially done with driving,” said Force. “I’ve said so many times, ‘Until this race car kills me, they're gonna have to drag me out of the seat.’ But the truth is, I was dragged out of the seat at Richmond and they thought it killed me then. So, I'm lucky that I'm back walking. They always say never say never, but I have grandchildren with Courtney and Graham, with Ashley and Danny, and now Brittany's retired because she wants to have children.”
“I won't say I won't ever get in a car to warm it up or maybe even make a burnout. Don't know. I guess it'll be the response from the fans. If they cheer loud enough, I'll hear ya.”

Respect and congratulations to Brittany Force, two-time Top Fuel Champion announced September 12 that she would be stepping away from competition to focus on starting a family with husband Bobby Lyons, Jr.
Brittany, thank you for the exciting years of racing, your passion, kindness and classy style is unmatched as you break record after record to forever set your place in NHRA history!

A local film company is telling the story of Bandimere Speedway, an iconic racetrack in the mountains of Morrison that closed in 2023.

John Bandimere Jr. took his bride Lorraine down the Bandimere Speedway quarter mile for the final time in October 2024. We have been working hard to capture and create a film that carries as much emotion as that final day at the track embodied. We know everyone is excited to get the chance to see our production of "Thunder Mountain - The Last Pass", and we appreciate your patience as we continue to finalize this project that is so near and dear to our hearts.
