This for Sheridan…
We need to talk.
Today feel heavy, yeah the air got weight
Teachers look at us like we the ones they hate
War chants loud but the truth sound low
Turnin’ friends to enemies we used to know
You were trusted once, now you throwin’ stones
Burnin’ bridges down just to stand alone
Say it's justice, say you fight for right
But you tear your own team apart in the fight
Talkin’ down on those who chose to stay
Same badge, same work, just a different way
You call it courage, they call it shame
But division only fuels the flame
This ain’t a war, this our home
We all stand here, not alone
If we break, then we all fall down
Lost in anger, lost in sound
This ain’t a war, can’t you see?
It’s our kids, it’s our community
We need unity, not control
You can’t heal hate with a broken soul
Pointin’ fingers at administration heads
Think removin’ people brings peace instead
But the students sittin’ home right now
Parents worried, askin’ “what now?”
You want a contract, say it’s fair and just
But your words ain’t matchin’ all that trust
Say transparency is what you seek
But sabotage is what you speak
Professionalism left at the door
While the streets echo anger more and more
You want benefits, more and more gain
But the kids out here feelin’ that pain
This ain’t a war, this our ground
Why we tryin’ to tear it down?
If we rise, we rise as one
Or we lose before it’s done
This ain’t a war, understand
We supposed to take a stand
But together, not apart
You don’t fix hate with a broken heart
Respect ain’t optional, truth ain’t for sale
Integrity strong when the system feels frail
Work is sacred, this bigger than pride
It’s about the kids, not what side you ride
The district ain’t you, it ain’t me alone
It’s every voice, every seed that’s grown
Sheridan strong when we choose respect
Not when we tear down to feel correct
A union should mean we stand as one
Not divide ‘til the damage done
Different thoughts? Yeah, that’s okay
But hate and insults? That’s where we break
Call the news, let the story be told
There’s hearts still here that ain’t grown cold
We want our students back in class
Not stuck in chaos that won’t last
This ain’t a war, this our fight
To do what’s wrong or make it right
We choose love, we choose to build
Not let this place be hate-filled
