Tonight will be a New Moon. Since there will be no light interference from the moon, if weather permits, this will be a great time to stargaze. The darker sky creates contrast between itself and the celestial bodies, meaning it will be easier than usual to spot constellations, planets, meteors and more.
This evening, Mercury will also be at greatest elongation. This will be a good time to view Mercury, since it will be at its greatest distance from the sun and more easily visible than usual. Look west shortly after sunset to see if you can spot it.
