Ready or not, elk season is here!

I am definitely not ready but threw everything together and here goes another season. Some great camps and adventures with some good people here in the great state of Montana with its wildly different terrain over the seasons and everything seems to always fall into place.

Cheers to a season filled with adventure, a camp filled with good company and a bit of success!

It’s almost time!

Elk archery season is weeks away, ready or not. Long days with hillside naps watching the seasons change from hot weather to cool mornings, frost and rain and snow. Dark timber with screaming bulls echoing giving you a chill and forcing quick decisions on your next move. September changes everything. It’s a reset on the entire year because here in Montana it means big game season for the next three months. It’s burning calories and putting on miles up and down mountainsides. And hopefully, a successful pack out to feed your family for the year.

For now, it’s putting reps in with the bow, miles on the bikes and boots and finalizing gear for the season. Yeah, September can’t be beat for a bow hunter in the west!

Fishcamp is looking for a videographer fora trip to the lake country of Canada.

Must edit what you shoot in a timely manner and have a true passion for the process. Familiar with the Sony platform and shoot documentary style video and photography with an all around good attitude, love of the outdoors and knowledge of the pursuit! Obviously you will need a passport too. Dm for more info

Fishcamp branded gear!

Being a creative person I am always thinking about being outdoors and ways to create things that connect us all season long and feed that fire of why we do this. The “50Club” shirt is one of those items. The shirt is by Simms and I asked .fly2frame if he could illustrate my vision and he killed it! Literally, “wear it on your sleeve!”

The Tarpon came to me from years of fishing saltwater and asked what she could do with the color scheme and is one of my favorites.

The “50Club” hat is another that came from Matt Stockton but pitched the idea to a local gal that does our swag for my home building business and this is what we came up with with a couple different color options. If you have an idea for a color option please let me know. We only have a few of these pieces available on our website so go get ya some!

Fishcamp has a lot of big things going on in the background including a full retail space that we are in design on where we will expand upon what has been done and will only get bigger and better and feed the passion on water and in the field.

We know the outdoors and look forward to sharing more as things develop.
