It's been six months since my friend, colleague and the most honorable, caring, decent person I have ever had the pleasure to know and call a friend ... passed, May 13, 2021.

Damon was always about others, never expressed a pity mentality, and often said to me "god doesn't give you more than you can handle".

I miss you my BROTHA' ... more than you can ever know.

Damon Collins was a gentle soul. Always kind, accommodating, easy to deal with. If he considered you a friend, you could count on him for whatever you needed.

With a heavy heart the WLYB-FM family wanted to share that "Collins on the Radio", known to most who know him simply as Damon, passed away peacefully Thurs, May 13, 2021, in Foley, AL.

In the coming days we will be asking you to share your favorite memories and experiences about Collins -- via text, email, and audio. Please share with your friends, family and neighbors.

In the meantime, your prayers of comfort and strength are appreciated for his mom and the family.

U.S. Internal Revenue Service has extended the date for filing of Federal Income Tax for most INDIVIDUALS from the traditional April 15th, to Monday, May 17, 2021 ... however there are some exceptions.

This extension DOES NOT apply to State Income Tax Returns.
