Most of Overton County is under a extreme level of heat advisory for the duration of the next 5 days. The surrounding Counties are under a Major to Extreme. Stay in doors with ac as much as you can and drink plenty of fluids. It will be very hot the week.

Severe weather update. Just received more information for NWS.

We are now 3 out of 5 for severe weather 8pm to 1am. Strong winds and storms very possible.

15-30% chance of hail greater then 1in of diameter. 10-14% chance of a tornado. This percentages doesn’t sound like a lot but they is a pretty high chance consider these percentages is from any given spot within 25 miles.

Stay weather aware here at mid tn.

We will have the weather room fired up and ready to cover any storms as the evening and night gets closer.
