I finally did it! 🚐💨 After being terrified for so long, I got behind the wheel of our 44-foot 5th wheel.

Bob set up the ultimate driving gauntlet for me to prove that with a little practice, anyone can learn to drive their rig. Did I panic? Yes. Did I accidentally snap the emergency breakaway cable? Oops... also yes. 🤦‍♀️😂 But I survived and actually backed this massive beast into a spot!

Hey everyone! 👋 I wanted to share a massive personal milestone today.

For the longest time, I have been absolutely terrified to drive our 44-foot 5th wheel. I usually leave it all to my husband, Bob. But we decided that has to change—everyone needs to know how to safely drive their home on wheels in case of an emergency!

Bob used his background as a tech trainer to set up an official "Driving Gauntlet" for me: Hooking up, the weaving course, left/right turns, and backing up.

I was so nervous, and I actually snapped our emergency breakaway cable during the slalom course 🤦‍♀️😂, but pushing past the fear and doing it was the best feeling ever.

What started as a ride with our friends TommyG and Jody from Purple on Three turned into a great few days of riding, laughter, mountain roads, and campground memories. We begin in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where we meet up with friends for a ride through the countryside, make a stop at Gettysburg Harley-Davidson, and even pick up a surprise riding companion along the way. Soggy Baws Moto a Scottish Vlogger. From there, we pack up the Riverstone and head to Canaan Valley State Park in West Virginia, where the adventure continues. Purple on Three met us there and together we ride our Can-Am Spyders and make our way to Spruce K**b, the highest point in West Virginia. But as always, the ride is only part of the story. The real memories come from sharing the road with good friends, spending time around camp, swapping stories, enjoying great scenery, and simply appreciating the freedom that comes with this lifestyle.
