20-week anatomy scan update 🤍👶
Our sweet baby boy is doing amazing! 💙 Everything looked healthy, he’s measuring in the 86th percentile, and he was moving SO much that my anatomy scan ended up taking almost 2 hours just to capture all the images they needed. 😂 Watching him wiggle around was the best part.
Now for my update…
My doctor found that I have a dynamic cervix. During the scan, my cervical length measured 3 cm, then shortened to 2 cm, so I’ve been started on daily progesterone through 36 weeks. The hope is that it helps stabilize things, and we’ll recheck everything in a week. If it doesn’t improve, we may need to discuss a cervical cerclage (a stitch placed to help keep the cervix closed).
I’d love to hear from other moms who have experienced a dynamic cervix, short cervix, used progesterone during pregnancy, or had a cerclage. What was your experience like? Your stories and encouragement would mean so much. 🤍
So grateful our little guy is healthy and continuing to grow. One day at a time. 💙
