It’s a Thursday-Friday doubleheader on WKHJ. Tonight’s game will take us to Greenway, as Southern takes on Allegany. It truley anybody’s game in West-MAC PLAY, as 4 teams (including the Rams) are 2-3 with the Campers checking in at 1-4 with 4 games remaining. Southern looked sharp and hungry after disposing of Berkeley Springs last week in a game that came down to a Hayden Williams pick in the end zone with seconds remaining. If s been a disappointing first half of the season in the books. The campers may be struggling, but have owned the Rams, winning 17 of last 18 with Southern’s lone win in the 2018 season.

Join Ben Slazek an Benji Law (No Paul Edwards tonight, I won’t tell why, but it involves peanuts and he knows what he did) with Countdown to Kickoff starting at 6:00 PM and game time at 6:30PM. As always, tonight’s game will be streamed live on our page at: Garrett county radio. Let’s bring some glory from Allegany County and send it home to Garrett.

Best of luck to the Northern and Southern Golf teams and Coaches Monday morning (9:00AM) at the Regional Championships held at Black Rock in Hagerstown.

This years teams have both played exceedingly well all season long under Coach Johnson for the Huskies, and Coach Canfield for the Rams.

At last week’s West-MAC Championships, Southern took home the team title and Northern was in a tie for 2nd. The individual champion was Huskies FR Wyatt Johnson. Each team had 3 golfers place in the top 10.

The MPSSAA State Golf Championships will take place in College Park at the University of Maryland Golf Course. 1A teams and golfers will compete on October 28 and 29.

Keep it in the fairway and no 3-puts. Good Luck!!!!

(With a tip of the cap….) It’s a High School Football Night in Garrett County. The WKHJ Sports Crew will matriculate into Oakland where the Berkley Springs Indians meet the Southern Rams on a night we’re Southern says “Thank You” to the Class of ‘26 on Senior Night.

The KHJ Countdown to Kickoff begins at 6:00PM, with kickoff at 6:30PM. The WKHJ version of Gorilla and Heenen, Ben Slazek and Paul Edwards will have the call. Southern comes in at a deceptive 1-3 on the year. The Rams have played tough against some pretty good teams and want to hit that next level and make some waves in a wide open West-MAC and 1A-West. Berkeley Springs enter tonight’s contest at 2-3 and ranked 26th in the most recent WVSSAC Playoff Rankings in 2A. Southern is 3-2 in the last five meetings with the Indians, including a 37-0 drubbing in the last meeting back in 2016.
