What an honor it is to share the mats with my good friend Frogman Tactical USA 🙏

Tonight I had the pleasure of training with at who is an amazing human being and Jitsu artist.

It’s been about 15 years since I’ve actively trained Jiu Jitsu. In 2010 I was preparing for my first cage fight and 3 months out I fell from 20’ and shattered my arm in 5 pieces. A surgery later with a 12” plate, 10 screws, and a bone graph to promote bone growth.

That accident was such a challenge for me. I gave up on life. I lost my identity as a SEAL because I was no longer active and just like all of us I was just trying to find my place and people.

I felt defeated like never before. Now I know God allowed me to fall to get my attention and keep me on track. HE knew I’d stray away as a young believer and I can tell you from many experiences, once you belong to God, He will take everything from you before He allows you to fall away. That’s how much He loves us. There is nothing on this planet worth chasing that causes you to lose your salvation.

Now as a more mature Christian I’m wise enough to keep His mission in the front of my sight.

If you get a chance to train at Lockhart BJJ do so. The team and members are amazing people.

I’d love to compete but I’m not sure that is who I am anymore. I enjoy teaching and helping others too much. We shall see.
