Meet UPR's Interim News Director, Erin Lewis!

Erin has been a science reporter for UPR since August 2022, covering Great Salt Lake, Panama's Secret Beyond the Seed series, and Utah's wildlife, among many other topics. She defended her doctoral dissertation on tourism and Rock Iguana physiology last spring, which is what brought her to Logan in 2018.

Erin is looking forward to continuing to work with UPR and bringing Utah's news to everyone who listens!!

Sheri served as UPR's news director for 4 years but has been a friend and contributor to UPR for more than 15!

She plans to continue to support UPR for many years to come.

All of us at UPR will miss her deeply, but we wish her the best at Montana Public Radio!

The Utah Board of Higher Education announced Thursday, Oct. 30 that Brad Mortensen, current president of Weber State University in Ogden, will take over as Utah State University’s next president.

On Utah State University’s Logan campus, a new project invited students to slow down, look up — and text a tree.

The “Talking Trees” project featured 13 trees — each with a name, personality, and phone number. Passersby could send a text and get a message back, turning an ordinary walk to class into a conversation with nature.
