Started by Moroni Silva after ridding himself of an addiction to Heroin in April of 2015 at an Ayahuasca Ceremony. During the beginning of his vision, the presence of a dead body lying on
the ground next to him caught his eye. Upon examining the corpse and noticing the flesh decaying and falling from it’s skull, Moroni noticed that the corpse was his own. Terrified at the discovery of his own body which had clearly died, it felt as if three dull daggers had begun to slowly pierce through the heart, as the body was shrouded in fear. At the moment his mind was about to give up at the thought and the intense feeling of death, in the center of the forehead he saw a rose begin to bloom. At the moment he witnessed the rose blooming, he felt his heart blossoming open and fluttering with relief as though death had come and gone in an instant of time lapsed beauty, he heard a voice from the center of the chest speak out and said, “Breathe.”
Taking a deep breathe, collecting his thoughts, and trying to comprehend what was happening, Moroni consciously asked the spirit guide what was happening, and the spirit responded saying, “This is your intention, this is your addiction to Heroin dying, however, it is also the result of what will happen to you if you ever choose to take opiates willingly ever again.”
In that moment the former band name Subtle Sound, was changed to A Dead Desire.
