The exercise at the Logansport Water Treatment plant has been completed. Responders are packing up and returning vehicles to service.

On the afternoon of August 18, 2025 public safety personnel will conduct an emergency preparedness exercise on West Wabash Avenue in Logansport.

This exercise will test preparedness for chemical emergencies and will include the presence of emergency vehicles and equipment, as well as radio traffic simulating emergency coordination.

Please give personnel room to complete needed tasks, and expect brief road closures or other interruptions in the area while the exercise is in progress.

An all clear will be posted when the exercise has concluded.

Just passing along that the traffic light at Eastgate Plaza /Speedway in Logansport is flashing.🚦

The one at Main Street and Burlington has been out with a 4-way stop barrel for at least a couple of days. 🛑

PULASKI AND CENTRAL CASS COUNTIES THROUGH 900 PM EDT...

At 810 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Rensselaer to Logansport. Movement was
southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Logansport, Monticello, Monon, Francesville, Royal Center,
Burnettsville, Clymers, Lakeside In Pulaski County, Leases Corner,
Headlee, Lee, Indiana Beach, Norway, Idaville, Sitka, Adamsboro,
Lucerne, Bell Center, Buffalo, and Lake Cicott.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

mph.
