➡How I teach my toddlers to read! 👩🏽‍🏫

Step 1: Letter Recognition: teach all the letters in and out of order. Singing the alphabets and point to a chart as you go helps.

Step 2: Sound Recognition: Learn the sounds each letter makes. I made up a song "B is for boat buh buh boat." Review song daily, do flashcards, find the sound flash card games"

Step 3: Blending sounds: Start combining the sounds. Show a few examples and then let them start trying to blend different combination on their own.

It's A Village Child Care's 10 year anniversary!!!!!!!! My how time flies!!!!! Ive been in this field for a decade! Over the past 10 years had the pleasure of watching hundreds of children. I have met so many families, had so many long talks, been to so many birthday parties, had so many amazing teachers, taught so many circle times, made tens of thousands of meals, gave thousands of hugs and high fives, organized so many games/competitions, laughed so hard and cried so hard when children I helped raise had to move on. I love what I do. Thanks for your support, I could not have made it hear without everyone who has helped me over the years! ❤ 🥂 🥳🤗🎉🏆
