🥳🎉🎊 And we’re back! SO excited to announce the 2023 fest will be in Long Beach at the Expo Arts Center on Sunday, May 28!

Another important date to mark on your calendar is February 8 as that is when applications will open. ✍🏽😎

Now you might be wondering why Long Beach? Isn’t there already a zine fest there? The short answer is that Long Beach Zine Fest]] remains on hiatus and the Expo was the only LA County space we could find in our budget. The longer answer is that it’s a great venue to host a zine fest and we are stoked to have the blessing of Long Beach Zine Fest]] (including several former organizers on our team) as we bring your favorite zine party to a new side of town. Stay tuned for other Long Beach Zine Fest]] collaborations as the date gets closer 👀

Real talk about $$ for a sec: We are a volunteer-run, self-funded event and not having an in-person fest since 2019 severely decreased our spending budget. So much so that we could not commit the $10k it would take to secure any of the available venues that were more centrally located. Crossing our fingers we can fundraise more and get grants for a larger venue in LA proper in the future🤞🏼

Thank you for your patience as we navigated the return of an in-person fest amidst our current climate and never ending pandemic.
