Hidden Pony Records has established itself as one of the premiere talent development labels in Canada. A partnership between noted A&R guru “Parkside” Mike Renaud and his legendary mentor Donald Tarlton (aka Donald K Donald), Hidden Pony was conceived as a natural extension of the Upper Management Company. This creation was an effort to have all the necessary tools and resources to find and develop some of today’s most promising up and coming Canadian artists.

Jim Witter brought this title to a songwriting session after writing a thank you note, which the songwriting team all felt they could relate to. It had Ryan Langdon thinking of all the ways his wife and new baby were good for his soul and sanity by keeping him grounded during all the unknowns in this crazy life, which led to this new country/hip-hop song, “Soul & My Sanity.”
