I sold my first business to go full time with Out Here Fishing.
One of the hardest career decisions I’ve ever had to make.
I started Prestige Martial Arts back in 2017, and it became the fuel for everything in my life. From signing a 5-year lease with 0 students to building an amazing culture and community through Taekwondo, I’m proud I built it all from scratch.
My passion for Taekwondo was so strong that I left my corporate engineering job to pursue it. That’s when I realized something about myself: if I’m going to spend most of my time doing something, I better love it.
It was never about the money first. The root was always passion and purpose.
While running the studio, I was also building Out Here Fishing on the side. What started as a hobby slowly turned into something much bigger. Through all the support from you guys, I started learning storytelling, editing, brand deals, content creation, and saw real potential in OHF.
The question that kept eating at me was:
“What’s the full potential of OHF if I go all in?”
So I made the decision.
I’m all in with OHF.
But Taekwondo will always be a part of me. I am Master Nam, and that doesn’t change. The discipline, respect, integrity, and work ethic Taekwondo gave me will carry into this next chapter.
To all my Prestige students, current and past: hopefully you continue carrying the life skills you learned through Taekwondo and apply them throughout your lives. Let me be an example that you really can build a career doing what you love if you’re relentless enough.
