Everyone says they want safety, freedom, and accountability. Fine. Let’s check the court records.
Start with the basic question
Most people say they want kids safe, schools safe, fair courts, honest leaders, and one law for everyone. That should not be left or right. That should just be normal.
If someone hurts children, commits s*xual abuse, attacks democracy, or uses power to dodge consequences, they should be held accountable. Being rich, famous, religious, patriotic, elected, or useful to a political movement should not be a get-out-of-jail-free card.
So start with records. Not slogans. Not memes. Not party loyalty. Court records, sentencing data, names, convictions, and facts.
The data points past the scapegoats
The right keeps yelling about bathrooms, books, teachers, drag shows, immigrants, LGBTQ people, and trans kids. But federal sentencing data points somewhere else.
The U.S. Sentencing Commission reported 1,432 federal child s*xual abuse material cases in fiscal year 2025. In those cases, 98% of people sentenced were men, 73% were White, 95% were U.S. citizens, and the average age was 41. That does not mean every man is dangerous. It means the culture-war story is fake.
Federal s*xual abuse cases show the same pattern: 93% of people sentenced were men, and 55% were White. RAINN also reports that 93% of s*xual abuse victims under 18 knew their abuser. Only 7% were strangers.
So if someone screams all day about strangers in bathrooms but ignores people already inside families, churches, schools, youth groups, police departments, political movements, and friend circles, they are not following facts. They are following fear.
Jan. 6 is tracked
Jan. 6 defendants are not a mystery group. George Washington University’s Program on Extremism tracked legal proceedings for 1,579 federal defendants tied to the Capitol attack. The Chicago Project on Security and Threats studied 716 people charged by January 1, 2022, and found that group was 93% White and 85% male.
Then Trump pardoned many of them. On January 20, 2025, he issued a proclamation granting a “full, complete and unconditional pardon” to many people convicted of Jan. 6-related offenses and directed dismissal of pending Jan. 6 indictments.
That is already a double standard. But CREW reported that at least 40 pardoned Jan. 6 insurrectionists had been rearrested, charged, or sentenced for other crimes since January 6, 2021. CREW also reported that seven were charged with child s*x crimes and two were charged with r**e.
That should matter to everyone. If “protect the children” is real, these records matter. If “law and order” is real, these records matter. If “personal responsibility” is real, these records matter.
So name the names.
Andrew Paul Johnson was a pardoned Jan. 6 defendant. He was convicted of child s*x abuse offenses and sentenced to life in prison.
Kyle Travis Colton was another Jan. 6 participant. The Department of Justice reported that he was sentenced to six years and eight months in federal prison for receiving child s*xual abuse material.
Daniel Tocci was also tied to Jan. 6 in local reporting. DOJ reported that prosecutors said he possessed more than 100,000 files of child s*xual abuse material, including material involving a toddler.
Robert John “RJ” May was a former South Carolina Republican lawmaker. DOJ reported that he was sentenced to federal prison after evidence showed child s*xual abuse material was uploaded from an IP address registered to him. AP reported that May agreed to plead guilty to distributing child s*xual abuse material in a plea deal involving five felony counts.
These are not vague accusations. These are names, cases, records, guilty pleas, convictions, and sentences.
The double standard is the point
Donald Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in New York on May 30, 2024. A felony conviction does not automatically stop someone from running for president because the Constitution’s basic qualifications are age, citizenship, and residency.
That is not a defense of Trump. That is proof of the double standard.
A regular person with a record can lose jobs, housing, licenses, voting access, education access, and basic dignity. Trump got 34 felony convictions and still got power.
That is not justice. That is class protection.
The system punishes poor people hard and protects powerful people softly. It polices workers, excuses owners, shames single parents, rewards landlords, attacks immigrants, protects corporations, targets trans kids, bails out banks, and lectures poor people about responsibility while handing the rich another loophole.
That is why “law and order” is such a fake phrase. For regular people, it means punishment. For powerful people, it means delay, appeal, pardon, excuse, fundraising, and a comeback tour.
Follow facts, then push left
If someone wants to protect children, they should care about child s*xual abuse data. If someone wants to protect women, they should care about s*xual abuse convictions. If someone wants law and order, they should care about Jan. 6 records. If someone wants freedom, they should not support politicians who control bodies, books, schools, libraries, workers, renters, immigrants, q***r people, trans people, and poor people.
This is not about pretending Democrats are perfect. They are not. This is not about pretending voting fixes everything. It does not.
Vote Blue as damage control. Then push left.
Push for equality, unions, housing, healthcare, abortion access, trans safety, disability rights, immigrant rights, public schools, libraries, workers, renters, and a justice system that does not crush the poor while protecting the powerful.
The goal is not “blue team good.” The goal is one law for everyone, one standard for everyone, real safety for everyone, real freedom for everyone, and real accountability for everyone.
Start with the records. Then ask why the loudest people screaming about morality keep running from them.
