Infinite Reality Studios, formerly Thunder Studios, is an Emmy Award winning, fully integrated entertainment services, production, and broadcasting company. iR Studios is headquartered at our 150,000 square foot production studio in Long Beach, California that includes 14 sound stages, an +8K resolution XR (Extended Reality) stage, a dedicated esports arena, a motion and volumetric capture stage,

a news broadcast stage and master control room, a full suite of broadcasting and production equipment, and a fleet of mobile broadcast trucks. iR Studios is one of the largest independent production studios in the country and operates throughout the United States and Mexico producing and broadcasting live events including soccer, baseball, MMA, boxing, esports and gaming tournaments, concerts, parades, awards shows, and corporate events. iR Studios works collaboratively with Infinite Reality’s expert Innovation team to develop proprietary technology for Metaverse creation and immersive experiences including virtual production, live event virtualization, live streaming, and remote collaboration tools in our state-of-the-art facility.

Thunder Studios recently hosted the production of MEANT TO DREAM, a futuristic music film blending live-action, XR, and AI-generated vocals from Grimes AI. Directed by Caroline Parker-Stark and featuring original music from VARIAN X, the project explores what it means to be human in a world surroundedd by AI. The team utilized our XR stage and green screen capabilities to bring their visually striking, Unreal Engine–powered world to life.

✨ Fun fact: The music video for Katy Perry’s “Bon Appétit” (the song featured in this post) was filmed on Stage 14 at Thunder Studios.

Our XR team has been out in the field capturing original back plate footage for an upcoming shoot. While the details of the project are confidential, we are excited to share a few behind the scenes moments that highlight the prep work behind our LED wall.  These back plates are used to create realistic, dynamic environments on our XR stage, allowing productions to control the look of a location without worrying about time of day, weather, or lighting shifts. We’re excited to share that Thunder Studios has earned nine wins at the 2025 Telly Awards for three standout XR projects: the official music video for Halle Bailey’s “In Your Hands”, the Doritos Dinamita x Squid Game Special, and the Esports Awards 2024: Part 2 Satellite Event.

The Telly Awards are a premier global honor recognizing excellence in video and television across all screens — from branded content to immersive experiences. With over 13,000 entries annually and a judging council of 250+ industry leaders from companies like Netflix, Meta, and Adobe, this recognition is a true honor.

 Thunder Studios’ Stage 6 is a fully equipped, pre-lit space built with content creators and live producers in mind. Whether you're using our broadcast-ready news set or bringing your own design, Stage 6 is flexible, functional, and production-ready.

At 1,900 square feet, it includes a private control room, a green room lounge, and a mezzanine-level production office—making it an ideal home base for livestreams, interviews, and multi-cam shoots.
