I didn’t want to post earlier, as I wasn’t sure how affected we were, but all our books are now carbon dioxide. None survived.

Idea Books have been incredibly resilient, true heroes of the photobook world. They are already back in semi-operational mode. As we produce small print runs, some of them have now become substantially shorter.

At least it wasn’t some fascist government deciding to burn millions of the finest art books in the world. Let’s hope it’s not a bad omen, just a stupid freak accident.

We started as this mini publishing project in order to produce books locally, for a local audience. While this is still our main focus we now travel across the world to tell amazing local stories to a global audience ….. sooo fortunate!!!
