Made dinner the way we love to do it-simple, cozy, and as local as possible. 🌶️

Tonight’s dish: Sweet Italian sausage from Kirby & Holloway with peppers + onions including Burton Heritage Farms peppers we froze from summertime 🙌 and a good sprinkle of SPGO to bring it all together.

And can we talk about how important it is to support local wherever you live? Your local butchers, artisans, farm stands, and mom & pop markets are the heartbeat of the community. Honestly, it doesn’t take any extra effort- if anything, it’s even better: less crowded, more relaxed, more unique finds, and way more fun trying new things.

If you didn’t know, Kirby & Holloway has a store at their production plant where you can buy directly, and not just scrapple and sausage. They’ve got bacon, provisions, and all kinds of goodies. Cut out the middleman, buy in bulk, freeze it (it freezes so well), and you’re supporting another local business while stocking your kitchen with quality. 🛒✨

No joke… we haven’t found anything better to season ground beef or ground turkey. It’s flavorful, it cooks up perfectly, and the kids are obsessed. 🙌

And the real hidden gem? 🥓 Kirby & Holloway bacon — absolutely the best we’ve had. Plus it’s 1.5 lbs (not the usual 1 lb), so you get an extra ½ pound for the same price… you seriously can’t beat that.

Grab it right at the Kirby & Holloway store/production plant in Harrington, Delaware — SO worth the trip.
