Having a conversation with my 2.5 yo as thunderstorms approach the house this evening…

Theo: I want to see the lightning mama
Me: You have to look outside bud but don’t worry we’ll be safe.
Theo: Why?
Me: because when thunder roars we go indoors so we don’t get hit by lightning
Theo: Why?
Me: because the house protects us
Theo: *thinks for a while… “but Bluey doesn’t go indoors when thunder roars”
Me: *thinks for a minute… crap he’s right
Theo: Daddy why doesn’t bluey go indoors when thunder roars
Dad: bc he lives in Australia and it’s different down there
Me: 🤦🏼‍♀️
