Does it feel like your energy left you at the platform?

If your energy has slowly disappeared, don't automatically blame your age.

And don't immediately reach for another diet or another cup of coffee.
After 40+ years of working with patients, I've learned to look at the patterns.
* Your afternoon crash.
* Your cravings.
* Your sleep.
* Your stress response.
* Your meal timing.
* Your movement.

Individually, they can seem insignificant.
Together, they tell a story about how your metabolism is functioning.

And this matters for weight, too. ⚖️
Before trying harder, start listening to what your body is telling you.

Sometimes the next step isn't more restriction.

It's better support. 🌿

♻️ Share this with a woman who keeps wondering where her energy went.

What if progress wasn’t about never getting off track?

THIS is what I want for my clients. 💛

Not perfection.

Not fear around the scale.

Not feeling like a vacation, stressful week, or busy season has undone months of hard work.

She had learned what her body needed.
She had created a new normal.
And when life disrupted that normal, she knew how to come back to it—without punishment, extreme restriction, or starting another diet.

That is Progress Without Pressure.
A successful metabolic reset shouldn't just teach you how to lose weight.
It should help you understand how to live after the weight is gone.
Because maintaining your health isn't about never getting off track.

It's about knowing how to find your way back.
Rhythm, not rules.

That is the Body Wise difference.

Today’s small victory came with a bag of peaches. 🍑🇫🇷

At the market this morning, I helped an older French woman figure out how to weigh and label her bag of pêches.

Now, I should probably mention—I still don't really speak French. 😂

But I knew how the scale worked.
I knew which buttons to push.
I knew what she needed to do.
And after helping her, I sent her on her way with a cheerful, “Bonne journée!”

As I walked away, I smiled.
Because not so long ago, I was the one standing in front of that scale trying to figure it all out.

It reminded me how quickly something that once felt unfamiliar—or even a little overwhelming—can become comfortable through time and repetition.
And isn't that true of so many things in life?

Changing how we eat.Learning to listen to our bodies.Creating new routines.Setting boundaries.Taking better care of ourselves.

At first, we have to think about every step.
Then we do it again.
And again.
Until one day we realize...
What once felt hard has simply become part of who we are.

That may be one of the most important lessons of living Body Wise.
We don't have to master everything today.
We just have to keep practicing. 🌿

Small, simple victory at the market today.
And the peaches looked pretty wonderful too. 🍑

Sharing a little of the summertime fun in Béziers. Highlights include the acres of sunflower fields in bloom. Children gathered for a story hour in an open library at the beach, kick of celebrations for Féria with a morning run, and of course Miss M sharing the summer Dahlias 🤩 what is your favorite summer activity?

What if you didn't regain the weight because you lacked willpower… but because your metabolism was trying to protect you?

You've done the work.
You've counted calories.
Skipped desserts.
Started over every Monday.
Lost the weight.....only to watch it slowly return.
If this sounds familiar, I want you to hear this:

You are not failing.

Your body is responding exactly the way it was designed to.
When we repeatedly diet, our bodies receive one message:
Food is uncertain.

So they adapt.
✨ Your metabolism slows.
✨ Hunger hormones increase.
✨ Muscle is often lost.
✨ The body becomes more efficient at storing energy.
The problem isn't that you don't know how to lose weight.

The problem is that no one explained why your body keeps gaining it back.

🌿 Your metabolism has a story.
Before you start another diet, take a moment to ask:
"What has my body been trying to tell me all these years?"

That question changed the way I practice.
And it has changed the lives of so many of the women I've had the privilege of working with.

This week on Metabolic Minute, we're exploring why diets work... until they don't, and what your body may really be asking for.

💬 I'd love to hear from you.
How many diets do you think you've tried over the years?
No judgment.
Just curiosity.

Because understanding your story is the first step toward changing it.

🌿 Your metabolism has a story. Let's listen carefully—and decode it together.
