I kept “6th Ward” in the name because I truly believe our community is strongest when we start by loving and caring for the place we call home. Think about this: have you ever walked into a restaurant, seen dirty dishes piled up or dust everywhere, and felt that immediate urge to turn around and leave?

That’s what neglect can do. And our community deserves better than that.
When we take pride in where we live when we keep it clean, cared for, and full of life we send a message that this place matters, that we matter. And when people see that, they don’t just visit… they feel welcomed, respected, and connected. They want to stay.
Our community becomes a place we’re proud to show the world and our children and children’s children will return to.

It’s always great to have the support of our past leaders, revolutionaries, and trendsetters who helped shape South Lorain and our city. Their courage, vision, and commitment built the foundation for the progress we’re seeing today. Many of these individuals fought for equal opportunity, safer neighborhoods, and a stronger sense of community long before it was popular to do so. Their sacrifices and leadership remind us that real change doesn’t happen overnight — it happens when people care enough to take action and keep pushing forward.

As Councilman, I’m proud to continue that same fight — investing in new roads, upgrading water and sewer lines, improving public safety, and bringing new opportunities to our neighborhoods. Every investment, every improvement, and every partnership is part of honoring their legacy and ensuring South Lorain keeps moving in the right direction. Together, we’re continuing the progress they started.
