Native American Showrunner Program Fellows Meet with Alexi Hawley!

The fellows of the 6th Annual Native American Showrunner Program recently participated in an intensive session with acclaimed showrunner Alexi Hawley (known for hit shows like The Rookie and Castle).

The discussion provided a deep dive into the craft and business of running a hit series, focusing on:

Writing Across Platforms: Key differences in writing for streamers versus broadcast television, and techniques for effectively writing across various genres.

Practical Showrunner Advice: Hawley shared essential guidance for new showrunners, including best practices for selecting diverse writing teams, tips for handling executive notes, and the value of consistent writing while managing multiple projects.
