We are heartbroken to share that our dear friend, former client, and longtime member and champion of the Cannella family, Ron Steblea, has passed away from a heart attack.

For those who knew Ron, you know what a truly special person he was. Ron had an infectious energy—always smiling, always filled with wild trivia and sharp insights, and always bringing a unique sense of humor and joy to every room he entered. His knowledge and passion for sports, particularly his alma mater, UConn, is of course known by all. He will always have an entry in our sports betting pools. He was a brilliant marketer, a hard worker, a generous collaborator, and above all, a genuinely good human being.

Ron had recently entered a new and happy chapter in his life. He was newly married and enjoying life in the Philippines, where he had found peace, laughter, and love. It makes this loss even more difficult, knowing how much joy he had found and how many dreams he was just beginning to live out.

Over the years, Ron taught us more than just marketing strategies or business tactics. He showed us how to lead with kindness, how to keep learning no matter your age, and how to never take yourself too seriously. He brought levity into even the most intense projects and always made time to connect on a human level. His legacy will live on in the many people he mentored, partnered with, and inspired along the way.

Ron will be deeply missed—not only by those of us who worked closely with him, but by the broader Cannella community, and by many across the industry who were lucky enough to know him.

Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, his friends, and all those grieving this loss. May we all carry forward a little of Ron’s spirit—his humor, his passion, and his generosity—in the work we do and the lives we lead.

Please keep him and his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
